Amidst the increasing tension in the Middle East, India has taken an important step. In fact, as soon as the ongoing talks between the US and Iran—which were being hosted by Pakistan—ended without any results, India immediately went into alert mode. According to the latest reports, the Indian government has launched a special operation, the aim of which is not only to evacuate its citizens but also to protect the country’s energy supply. This mission is very important, because a large part of India’s oil needs are met through this route.

Due to the potential conflict between the US and Iran, the situation around the Strait of Hormuz (in the Persian Gulf) has reportedly stranded around 20,000 Indian sailors and 18 ships—laden with essential commodities like oil, LPG and LNG.

Crude Oil Tankers: 11
Indian flagged ships: 5
Chartered Ships: 13
Stranded ships (west of the Strait of Hormuz): 15
Ships stranded in the Gulf of Oman: 3
Ships stranded in the Gulf of Aden: 3
Indian ships in the Red Sea: 2
In total—combining areas east and west of the Strait of Hormuz—a total of 18 ships are stranded.

**US-Iran talks end without any result**
On Saturday, the long talks between America and Iran in Islamabad, Pakistan ended without any solution. Soon after the peace talks between the two countries ended, the entire Iranian delegation left Pakistan. US Vice President JD Vance also left Islamabad without any delay. Reports suggest that the Iranian delegation consisted of a total of 71 members, including prominent figures such as Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

On this entire matter, the Iranian Embassy has said that during the talks, America put pressure on time and demanded a quick decision; In contrast, Iran viewed the talks from a long-term strategic perspective. Iran tried to negotiate patiently. Additionally, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaei said the country “has not and will never forget” America’s past broken promises.
