Lucknow, May 21 (). Finance Minister Suresh Khanna walked from his office to his residence on Thursday on the appeal of PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath to save fuel in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. During this, while talking to the media, he said that this step is not just personal, but is linked to a bigger message, which includes the country’s energy saving and proper use of fuel.
Suresh Khanna said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are continuously appealing to reduce the dependence on fuels like petrol and diesel in the country. Its direct benefit will be that the country’s foreign exchange reserves will be saved and amid the prevailing international situation, the economic pressure on India will also reduce. He said that in the current global circumstances, it has become extremely important to use energy resources wisely.
He also said that the Prime Minister has been continuously trying to find solutions to international problems through dialogue, but sometimes situations arise such that solutions cannot be found immediately. In such a situation, the responsibility of all citizens within the country increases to support the policies of the government and participate in campaigns like fuel saving.
Referring to his personal efforts, Suresh Khanna said that last week he had gone to the Assembly on a bicycle and returned on a bicycle. This time he went to the assembly on a motorcycle, but came back on foot. He says that even small efforts point towards big changes. If every citizen tries to save fuel in this way, then oil consumption in the country can be reduced on a large scale.
He appealed to the people to adopt such habits like walking short distances, using bicycles or avoiding unnecessary vehicle use. This will not only save fuel but will also have a positive impact on the environment.
He also said that in today’s time when the prices of petrol and diesel are increasing, it is not only an economic burden but also a national challenge. In such a situation, it is the duty of every citizen to understand the needs of the country and cooperate in it.
