Jaipur. In the midst of Nautapa in Rajasthan, the weather has taken such a scary U-turn that the people of the state have forgotten the scorching heat and have come under the shadow of the storm. After the devastating tornado and storm that hit many parts of the state on Saturday, there is no sign of relief even today (Sunday). Today the Meteorological Department has issued ‘Orange’ alert for 8 districts of the state and ‘Yellow’ alert for all the districts except 4 districts. Meteorologists estimate that this weather system formed due to Western Disturbance may remain active in the state till June 3.
Speed stopped due to dust, speed of 102 KM in Kishangarh
The speed of this storm that came on Saturday was so terrible that the maximum wind speed recorded at Kishangarh airport was 102 kilometers per hour. The maximum impact of the storm and dust was seen in Churu, Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Nagaur, Didwana-Kuchaman, Alwar and Sikar areas, where winds reached more than 80 kilometers per hour. The situation worsened to such an extent that from 2 pm to 5 pm in Bikaner and Churu, there was such a red-yellow cloud in the sky that the day itself became as dark as night.
Historic drop in temperature, mercury below 40 in 20 cities
This storm, rain and hailstorm has had a direct impact on the temperature, due to which the mercury in many cities has fallen by 9 to 12 degrees Celsius within the last 3 days. The maximum temperature in 20 major cities of the state was recorded below 40 degrees Celsius. The biggest relief was seen in Sriganganagar, where three days ago (on May 27) the mercury was blazing at 48.2 degrees Celsius, on May 30 it dropped by 12 degrees and came down to 36.4 degrees Celsius. Similarly, the mercury dropped from 46 degrees to 34.5 degrees in Alwar and the lowest temperature was recorded at 33.1 degrees Celsius in Hanumangarh. At the same time, Phalodi was the hottest area of the state with 42.6 degrees.
Such was the mood in the major cities of the state
A storm with a speed of 76 kilometers per hour disrupted life in the capital Jaipur at around 5 pm on Saturday evening, after which there was light rain in the city and hailstorm for 5 minutes in the rural area Jobner; The maximum temperature recorded here was 36.8 degrees. The mercury dropped to 40 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur due to heavy rain on Saturday morning, where the administration and shopkeepers have made arrangements for water sprinkling to provide relief to people from the heat. After a whole day of sunshine in Ajmer, the weather changed late in the evening and due to strong winds even the tents on the roadside were uprooted, the temperature here was 38.4 degrees.
On the other hand, due to storm and rain in Kota, the minimum temperature at night dropped to 6 degrees and the day temperature was recorded at 40.2 degrees. In the tourist city of Udaipur too, due to early morning rain and cold winds, the weather changed completely and the maximum temperature reached 37.9 degrees Celsius. The weather pattern changed for the third consecutive day in Alwar, where due to dense clouds and thunderstorm in the evening, the temperature was recorded 8 degrees below normal i.e. 34.5 degrees, although there is a possibility of lightning here on Sunday. In Sikar too, the weather became pleasant due to drizzle after the dust cloud cleared in the afternoon.
Weather also affects health: risk of skin infection
Amidst this seasonal turmoil, dermatologists have issued a big warning regarding health. Due to the high temperature of Nautapa, sudden humidity and sweat has created a favorable environment for the growth of bacteria and fungus. Due to this, problems like ringworm, itching and skin rash are increasing rapidly among people, due to which there is a need to take special precautions to prevent them.
