New Delhi, June 22 (). NTA has taken cognizance of a video viral on social media regarding NEET (UG) 2026. The testing agency has declared this video to be fake.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) in a post on social media said that the attention of NTA has been drawn towards a fake video circulating on social media regarding NEET (UG) 2026. This video is fake and the claims made in it are false. The examination was successfully conducted today amid elaborate security and surveillance.

NTA said that creation and deliberate dissemination of such misinformation with the aim of deceiving or intimidating students is a serious crime. NTA, in collaboration with I4C and law enforcement agencies, is taking action against those generating this content.

We appeal to the students, parents and general public to verify the information only through the official website and official link of NTA and not to spread such content further. Our over 20 lakh candidates have the right to a fair and impartial process.

At the same time, Director General of National Testing Agency (NTA) Abhishek Singh gave information about the successful conduct of NEET re-exam on Sunday. Talking about the conduct of the examination, security arrangements, number of candidates, results of the examination, counseling process and steps taken to restore the confidence of the students, he said that this examination was conducted in very challenging circumstances, but it was conducted successfully with the cooperation of various agencies including the Central and State Governments.

Abhishek Singh said that it was a big challenge to conduct the examination again at the nationwide level within just 37 days after the cancellation of the previous examination. He said that many institutions including various ministries of the Central Government, State Governments, security agencies, paramilitary forces, Railways, Air Force, Ministry of Education, Health Ministry, Home Ministry and External Affairs Ministry played an important role in this work. He said that this examination could be conducted successfully with the cooperation of parents, students, educational institutions, examination centres, teachers, invigilators and center superintendents.

Giving information about the number of candidates appearing in the re-exam, he said that this time the number of some students was naturally less, because many students had turned to other colleges or options. He said that the examination was conducted at 5,440 examination centers across the country and 14 centers abroad, in which more than 20 lakh candidates took part. According to him, peaceful and orderly conduct of such a large number of examinations is a great achievement in itself.
