Colours, emotions and creativity flourished in Panaji, Goa as the Global Competence Photo Contest (GAPC) took center stage at the International Purple Fest 2025. India’s largest disability inclusion festival, the fourth edition of GAPC celebrated the creativity of disabled artists from around the world and showed that the language of art transcends boundaries. The exhibition featured 25 stunning photographs, selected from the third and fourth editions of GAPC. These photographs proved that art is determined by ability, not incompetence. Youth4Jobs – Not Just This art exhibition was organized in India in partnership with the United Nations and UNESCO. The objective of this photography initiative is to: Empower youth with disabilities through art, skills and livelihoods. In the last three years, this initiative has reached out to 53 lakh people and impacted more than 30 thousand lives. It features over 3,000 photographs by 1,000 photographers from over 20 countries. The exhibition can also be viewed digitally by scanning a QR code posted on-site, making this experience a global celebration beyond borders. Through exhibitions, workshops, and training and support sessions, GAPC is taking the art of artists with disabilities from corporate boardrooms to public spaces – and changing our understanding of “ability.” The photographs in this exhibition did not just decorate the walls; He changed perspectives and showed a new world with every frame.
