New Delhi . Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke to the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and extended his Eid greetings. During this, the Prime Minister expressed concern to him about the situation in West Asia. Details of the conversation were posted on social media platform X. “We exchanged views on the changing situation in West Asia and expressed our concern over recent developments. We have already condemned the attacks on Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and we did the same again,” the Prime Minister said. The Strait of Hormuz was also a topic of conversation. “Ensuring safe and unhindered transit through the Strait of Hormuz remains our top priority,” the PM said.
PM Modi said that we agreed that continued diplomatic engagement is extremely important for regional peace and stability. I expressed my gratitude to them for their continued support for the safety and well-being of the Indian community living in Kuwait.

India’s total natural gas consumption is about 189 million cubic meters per day. Of this, 97.5 million cubic meters per day is produced domestically. Due to unexpected circumstances, supply of about 47.4 million cubic meters per day has been affected.
Russia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates are among the largest oil suppliers to India for crude oil. Apart from this, India’s import of crude oil from America has also increased. India imports oil from Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Egypt in the Gulf and Middle East.
