Chandigarh Many villages have been completely destroyed due to heavy rains and floods in Punjab. Millions of people have become homeless and thousands of acres of crop have been submerged in water. The Punjab government headed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is standing with the flood victims in every grief and trouble. Cambinet ministers and state administration are taking relief work rapidly. From delivering relief material to the flood victims to resume their homes and employment, the Punjab government stands firmly with the people at every step.
According to the instructions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchakka supported flood affected families in Khalian Adda village of Mata Bhoa. In particular, the two families working as cobbler were provided financial and goods, so that they could resume their business.
The havoc of the Ravi River had severely destroyed many villages including the Khaliyan Adda. All the items of these two families working as cobbler were swept away in the flood waters. Minister Kataruchakk provided essential items and new couples for employment to one family, while other families were given financial assistance. With this, not only will these families be able to resume their employment, but their economic condition will also be strengthened.
The Punjab government is helping not only immediate relief, but also keeping in mind the long -term needs. So far, more than 400 beds, mattresses, mosquito nets, gas cylinders and other necessary materials have been distributed in various villages of light.
Minister Kataruchak assured that the Punjab government will not allow any flood victim family to feel alone and the government will always stand with them wherever needed. This assistance is not only money, but a new hope and confidence, so that families will be able to secure the future of their children. It makes it clear that the Punjab government is not only giving relief, but is fully committed to bringing people’s lives back on track.
