Jaipur. As per the vision of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, work is being done with a sensitive approach in the field of women and child development in the state. In this sequence, the state government has implemented various schemes for empowerment of women, child development and protection, improvement in nutritional level, strengthening of Anganwadis and providing better health services to pregnant women. The state government has taken important steps to provide a safe, healthy and respectable life to women and children in Rajasthan.
Chief Minister Maternal Nutrition Scheme is being successfully operated in the state
Due to the successful implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Rajasthan stood first in the entire country in the monthly ranking for January 2026 and second in the monthly ranking for February 2026. Under this scheme, till March 26, Rs 553 crore has been transferred to 11 lakh 52 thousand 08 pregnant women. Similarly, Mukhyamantri Matritva Poshan Yojana is also being successfully run to improve the nutritional status of pregnant women and lactating mothers and children up to 3 years of age. Under this scheme, till March 26, Rs 172 crore 19 lakh has been paid to 5 lakh 15 thousand 818 beneficiaries.
Anganwadi workers and women supervisors got smart phones
Various important steps have been taken in the field of nutrition for the overall development and bright future of children in Rajasthan. More than 6 thousand 200 mini Anganwadi centers have been upgraded to main Anganwadi centres. 2 thousand 365 Anganwadi centers are being developed as model Anganwadi centres. To ensure regular growth monitoring of children, 21 thousand 367 weighing machines (for mother and child), 31 thousand 694 infantometers (to measure the height of children up to 2 years) and 31 thousand 694 stadiometers (to measure the height of children) have been made available at Anganwadi centres.
Similarly, in the year 2025, 20 thousand 85 smart phones have been made available to Anganwadi workers and women supervisors. 7 thousand 273 Nand Ghars have been developed. At the same time, through Mukhyamantri Amrit Aahar Yojana, hot milk is being provided to children aged 3 to 6 years 5 days a week. An important decision was also taken to increase the honorarium of Anganwadi workers and assistants by 10 percent in the financial year 2024-25, 2025-26.
Umang Tarang and Kilkari Workbook for 3 to 6 year old children
In Rajasthan, 60 thousand 404 Anganwadi workers have been provided pre-school education training as per ‘Nutrition Bhi Padhai Bhi’. At the same time, according to the new education policy, in coordination with the education department, pre-school activities are being organized in the state for children of 3 to 6 years of age through Umang Tarang and Kilkari workbooks. Under Prerna Abhiyan 2.0, about 1 lakh 58 thousand new beneficiaries have been added to Anganwadi centres.
33 thousand 904 daughter’s birth anniversary celebrations organized in the state
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, many efforts have been made in the state to improve the health and educational level of girls. In this context, Laado Protsahan Yojana is playing an important role in promoting the birth of a girl child and her all-round development. In this, on the birth of a daughter, financial assistance up to Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand is given in 7 installments. Since the inception of the scheme, about 6 lakh 53 thousand girls have been benefited from the first installment. Under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme, 33 thousand 904 daughter birth anniversary celebrations have been organized, in which the birth anniversary of about 1 lakh 95 thousand girls was celebrated and 2 lakh 72 thousand trees were planted in Gram Panchayats.
Necessary steps taken to solve the problems of women and girls
Pannadhay Suraksha and Samman Kendras are being operated at the district headquarters to listen and provide advice to the mental, economic and social problems of women and girls. So far, counseling services have been provided to 5 lakh 48 thousand women and school girls. So far, necessary assistance and counseling has been provided to women in 16 thousand 17 cases at the One Stop Centers (Sakhi Centres) operated in all the districts of the state.
Till now 7 thousand 471 beneficiaries have been benefited under the Chief Minister’s mass marriage scheme.
Chief Minister Nari Shakti Udyam Protsahan Yojana is being run to economically empower women in Rajasthan. In this, so far 2 thousand 991 loan applications worth Rs 230.96 crore have been approved. At the same time, assistance has also been provided to SHGs and women entrepreneurs by organizing Amrita Haat in the state. Under the Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme, till now a grant of Rs 20 crore 42 lakh has been given to 7 thousand 471 beneficiaries.
