New Delhi, January 28 (). The best marching contingents from the three services, Central Armed Police Forces and other auxiliary forces participating in the Republic Day Parade 2026 have been selected. According to the Defense Ministry, the marching contingent of the Indian Navy has been selected as the best marching contingent among the three services. Whereas Maharashtra’s tableau has been chosen the best tableau.
The results of more tableaux of states and union territories and central ministries and departments have also been declared. Maharashtra is at first position in the top three tableaus of states and union territories. The tableau of Maharashtra depicted ‘Ganeshotsav: Symbol of self-reliance’. The tableau of Jammu and Kashmir was at second place. In this tableau ‘Handicrafts and folk dances of Jammu and Kashmir’ were shown. Kerala’s tableau has been chosen at third place. The tableau of Kerala had a glimpse of ‘Water Metro and 100 percent digital literacy: Self-reliant Kerala for a self-reliant India’.
The Defense Ministry says that they were selected by three independent juries formed to assess the performance during the parade. According to the official jury, the best marching contingent among the three armies was from the Indian Navy. Delhi Police had the best marching contingent among CAPF and other auxiliary forces. Apart from this, the best tableaux of central ministries and departments have also been selected. The tableau of the Ministry of Culture topped in this category. The title of this tableau was, ‘Vande Mataram: The soul-sound of a nation’. Apart from these, special awards have also been given. Central Public Works Department’s (CPWD) tableau, ‘Vande Mataram: 150 Years of Commemoration’ and dance group’s ‘Vande Mataram: Eternal Echo of India’ have received this award.
The ‘Popular Choice’ category was also placed on Republic. Talking about the selection process, these results have come out as per the choice of the citizens on the basis of online voting conducted on the MyGov portal. According to this, Assam Regiment has been selected as the best marching contingent among the three armies. The CRPF contingent has been considered the best performing marching contingent among the CAPFs and other auxiliary forces.
According to public opinion, the top three tableaux of the states and union territories have also been selected. Among these, Gujarat – ‘Mantra of Swadeshi-Self-Reliance-Independence: Vande Mataram’ was liked the most. Uttar Pradesh’s tableau ‘Culture of Bundelkhand’ was at second place. Rajasthan’s tableau ‘Golden Shade of the Desert: Bikaner Gold Art (Usta Kala)’ has been chosen at the third place.
On the basis of people’s opinion i.e. public opinion, the best tableaux of central ministries and departments have also been selected. Here, the tableau of the Department of School Education and Literacy, ‘National Education Policy 2020: Indian School Education towards Developed India’ was liked the most. With these results, the Republic Day Parade 2026 effectively presented the message of cultural diversity, self-reliance, innovation and national unity.
