Pune/Daund. An early morning robbery incident near Kurkumbh village along the Pune-Solapur highway created panic. Three unknown people looted a family by breaking the glass of a car parked on the roadside. This incident happened around 3 am on Friday morning. 25-year-old Pradeep Sukhdev Dhotre, a resident of Pune, was returning with his family via Barshi, Indapur and Bhigwan after performing puja at Yedeshwari. To overcome the fatigue caused by driving, he stopped the car for some time at Daund area along the Pune-Solapur Highway in Kurkumbh border and started taking rest. Pradeep Sukhdev Dhotre along with his uncle Mayur Ravindra Kakde and aunt Sapna Ravindra Kakde were also present in the car. Meanwhile, three people reached there and started breaking the glass of the car. Before they could understand anything, all three broke the glass of the car and entered inside.
After entering the car, the three accused beat him with iron rods and looted gold jewelery worth Rs 1 lakh 75 thousand from him at gunpoint. They threatened Sapna Kakade with a gun and threatened to kill her and forcibly removed her gold jewellery.
The looted jewelery includes Mangalsutra weighing two tolas, Pata weighing 6 grams, Jhumkas and earrings weighing 5 grams, the total value of which is said to be around Rs 1.75 lakh. The robbers took the jewelery from the Toyota company’s Roman car, number MH 14 MT 4609 and fled from the spot on a motorcycle.
On the complaint of Pradeep Sukhdev Dhotre, the police have registered a case and started searching for the accused. Police say that this matter will be revealed soon.
