Lucknow . Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad has expressed grief over the plight of Saryu river. He said that it is a matter of regret that today the existence of our mother Saryu is in danger. Today it has gone towards Gonda. Due to the wrong policies of the government, the water level in Saryu has reduced today. Speaking to news agency on Friday, he said that today you go to Ram Ki Paidi, there is not even a drop of water there. Water is being taken out from hand pumps and poured into Ram ki Pauri, and all this is happening because of the policies of BJP. I have no hesitation in saying that this government makes false promises, which have nothing to do with truth. This government has nothing to do with the interests of the public. Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad said that the name of Saryu river is written as Saryu in our Puranas. We will demand from the government that its name should be changed from Ghaghra to Saryu. If this government will not do this, then I assure you that when our government comes to power, within just 24 hours this river will be named Saryu. After coming to power, our government will not only change the name of this river but will also increase the graph of its importance.
He further said that at present the flow of Saryu river has reached Gonda. We have to ensure that its stream is diverted till Ayodhya, so that the devotees do not face any kind of problem in taking bath.
Apart from this, he also gave his reaction regarding the bulldozer action in Ayodhya. He said that I have raised the issue not once but many times. I have mentioned in Parliament how bulldozers are being run on people’s houses in Ayodhya. Their land was snatched away. Many such malicious attempts were made. I have mentioned this issue several times in Parliament. I will raise this issue further also. I will also talk to my leader Akhilesh Yadav in this regard. I will also tell the people of the country about this. These people are also working to break the dignity of Ayodhya.
