The fame of the development works related to Ram temple and the unprecedented events including Deepotsav being organized in Ayodhya under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is now reaching across the seven seas. Inspired by the cultural vision of the Yogi government and the spiritual renaissance that took place in Ayodhya, a grand Ramlila will be organized on February 20 in Moscow, the capital of Russia. This Ramlila is being organized in a divine and grand form, taking inspiration from the Deepotsav held in Ayodhya recently. This is being seen as a new chapter in India-Russia cultural relations. Russian artists will be seen in lead roles in this Ramlila, to be organized in collaboration with the Embassy of India in Russia and Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Center (JNCC). Evgeny in the role of Ram, Daria as Sita, Murat as Lakshman and Dmitry as Hanuman will give a live presentation of Indian faith on stage.
Russian-Indian friendship organization ‘Disha’ is the main organizer of this event. Under the leadership of Dr. Rameshwar Singh, this organization has been building cultural bridges between India and Russia for years through theatrical productions, cultural festivals and educational initiatives. He said that Ramlila is not just a religious event, but a universal message of truth, dignity and ideal life. This is the reason why special curiosity is being seen towards it among the Russian audience also.
After Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the Deepotsav of Ayodhya has become a global identity. The pictures of Ayodhya lit up with millions of lamps under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath have influenced cultural organizations and artists around the world.
Yogi government provided a platform to a team of Russian artists at the Ayodhya Deepotsav. This team has already proved its talent by presenting Ramlila. Seeing the spiritual aura of Ayodhya and the grandeur of the event, the organizers and artists who came here from Russia were so impressed that they decided to realize the same feeling in Moscow.
The history of the tradition of Ramlila has also been notable in India-Russia cultural relations. In the 1960s, Soviet actor Padmashree Gennady Mikhailovich Pechnikov gave a new height to the emotional bond between the two countries by staging Ramlila in Moscow. This initiative will play an important role in emotionally connecting the people of both the countries.
Rameshwar Singh, who is leading the event, said that this program is being organized with the special cooperation of India’s Ambassador to Russia Vinay Kumar. He said that the Deepotsav and cultural renaissance started by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Ayodhya is now showing global impact. Moscow’s Ramlila is being organized with the inspiration of Ayodhya.
Special preparations are being made for grand stage decoration, traditional costumes and music for Ramlila to be held in Moscow on 20th February. A large number of Russian citizens, Indian community and cultural personalities will participate in the program. When Shri Ram’s Leela will be alive on the stage, the entire atmosphere will be drenched with devotion, dignity and ideals of Indian culture. The event will set a strong example of unity between the two countries through theatrical performances, festivals and educational initiatives.
