A very unique and shocking incident has come to light from Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, where 60-year-old unmarried elder Kalyan Pal organized his own “death feast” while he was still alive due to the worry in his mind regarding his last rites.
Kalyan Pal says that he was worried about who would perform his last rites after him and whether he would be able to get a proper farewell or not. To get relief from this mental stress, he took an extraordinary step and got his last rites performed during his lifetime.
According to the information, Kalyan Pal went to Prayagraj and got his Pind Daan and rituals done formally. After this, he got invitation cards printed in his village and distributed them in the surrounding areas. In this event, he also organized Bhandara for about 7000 people, in which a large number of villagers and local people participated.
People in the village and surrounding areas were surprised to see this event. For many people, this was the first experience of a person hosting his own “death feast” in his lifetime.
Kalyan Pal believes that this step has given him mental peace and now he has no fear about the end of his life. He said that now they can live their lives with peace of mind.
This incident remains a topic of discussion among the local people. Some people are calling it Kalyan Pal’s emotional thinking and a way to attain mental peace, while some are considering it as an unusual step taken away from social traditions.
However, this incident once again forces one to consider how loneliness and worry about the future can have a deep impact on a person’s mental health.
This “strange” incident is now becoming increasingly viral on social media and people are giving different types of reactions to it.
