Videos of Vande Bharat train often go viral on social media, but this time the matter is not about any defect or food, but about a pair of slippers. Yes, you read it right. A female passenger made a reel to satirise the railway system and the expense of travel, sparking a heated debate among netizens.
“We are in Vande Bharat. We had booked three seats. One for my husband, one for my child and one for me. The child is not sitting on my child’s seat, my child’s slippers are missing. It is a journey of 7 to 8 hours and my child is in good condition…the slippers cost Rs 100.” pic.twitter.com/k2GtaBg1qT

The story is that a woman was traveling in Vande Bharat train with her husband and small child. Interestingly, the woman had booked an entire seat for her child, on which she had spent around Rs 1500. However, throughout the journey the child continued to sleep in his parents’ lap instead of sleeping on the seat.
The woman made a funny reel on this situation and uploaded it on social media, which quickly went viral. In the video, the woman says, “The seat for which we have paid so much fare is not sitting on my child, but on slippers worth Rs 100.” She sarcastically said that the slippers were enjoying the journey in very premium style. As soon as the video went viral, a “war of words” broke out in the comments section. Some netizens took it as light entertainment, while others described it as “unnecessary content” and just a “way to get views”.
One user commented, “The slippers are so lucky!” Another said, “It is entirely a parent’s decision to take a seat for a child under 5 years of age. It is useless to criticize the system for this.” Another user wrote, “She kept the slippers on the seat and is proudly showing them in the reel.” Another user commented, “She took a stupid decision herself and is blaming the Railways.”
