The video of a local MLA of Saharsa is going viral. In this video MLA is seen dancing with the youth. He had come to attend a program of Vasant Panchami. The youth drenched in Gulal (coloured powder) welcomed him with open arms. MLA was so impressed by this welcome that he also started dancing with him.

This video going viral in Saharsa is of Saraswati Puja, in which Saharsa MLA IP Gupta participated. A large number of boys and girls were present in Saraswati Puja. The boys were dancing on Bhojpuri songs and applying gulal to each other. MLAs also started dancing enthusiastically to the tune of Bhojpuri song “Chunri Ba Lal Lal Re”. MLA’s dance moves further increased the enthusiasm of the youth. Everyone started dancing and applying gulal to each other.

IP Gupta is the National President of Bharatiya Samavsk Party and a politician from Bihar. He was elected for the first time from Saharsa Assembly seat in the 2025 assembly elections. He is also known as Engineer IP Gupta. His party had contested the elections in alliance with the Grand Alliance.
How did an engineer become a politician?
IP Gupta completed M.Tech (Civil Engineering) degree from MDU Rohtak (Haryana) in 2018. After that, he decided to enter politics. In 2020, he contested the elections from Sikandra seat of Jamui as an independent candidate, but he was not successful. Later, he also joined the Congress Party. IP Gupta left the Congress party in 2023 and started fighting for the rights of the Tanti community. In 2025, he formed his own party, the Indian Inclusive Party (IIP). He rallied his community by running “Paan Rath” and going door to door in Saharsa.
