New Delhi. Just before Dhanteras, the prices of gold and silver were continuously decreasing. Now, a day after Chhath Puja, gold has become expensive again on Wednesday. According to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has become Rs 119352. That means, compared to Tuesday, the price of pure gold has increased by Rs 1309 per 10 grams. On Tuesday, the price of 24 carat gold was Rs 118043.
Before this, the price of gold had been continuously increasing. In the last one month, the price of gold had reached such a high level that market experts started feeling that by December, the price of 24 carat gold will cross Rs 1.50 lakh per 10 grams. According to the Jewelers Association, on Wednesday the price of 10 grams of 22 carat gold was Rs 116490, the price of 20 carat gold was Rs 106220 and the price of 18 carat gold was Rs 96680 per 10 grams. On Wednesday, gold is being sold around this price in all the markets of the country including Delhi. So far in 2025, the price of gold has increased by Rs 43190. Whereas, on December 31, 2024, the price of 24 carat 10 gram gold was Rs 76162.
Talking about silver, its price also saw an increase on Wednesday. The price of 1 kg silver became Rs 145728. On Tuesday, the price of silver was Rs 141896. That means the price of silver has increased by Rs 3832 per kg. On October 17, 2025, the price per kg of silver had become Rs 171275. Which is the highest till date. The price of silver was decreasing since Dhanteras on 18th October, but now its shine has increased again in the bullion market. Since January 2025, the price of silver has increased by Rs 59711. On December 31, 2024, 1 kg silver was worth Rs 86017. Gold and silver have also become expensive in the international market. Besides, the possibility of interest rate cut in America has also affected the prices of gold and silver.
