Gold prices in India witnessed a rise for the second consecutive day on Saturday, January 10. The price of 24-carat gold rose by ₹24,600 per 100 grams and by ₹2,460 per 10 grams. With this increase, gold is once again moving closer to its record high.
Due to this, buyers are worried about whether gold prices will increase further during the upcoming festivals like Makar Sankranti, Pongal and Magh Bihu. Silver prices, after falling for two days, are now showing an upward trend. In the coming days, gold and silver are expected to trade at ₹125,000-₹142,000 and ₹232,000-₹255,000 levels respectively.
What is the price of gold today?
On Saturday, 24-carat gold price rose by ₹1,150 to ₹1,40,460 per 10 gram, and ₹11,500 to ₹14,04,600 per 100 gram gold. The cheapest 24-carat gold price was at ₹14,046 per gram, an increase of ₹115. Similarly, 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,28,750 for 10 grams and ₹12,87,500 for 100 grams, an increase of ₹1,050 and ₹10,500, respectively. The cheapest 22-carat gold price was priced at ₹12,875 per gram, which was ₹105 more expensive.
Besides, 18-carat gold price rose by ₹1,860 to ₹1,05,340 per 10 gram and by ₹8,600 to ₹10,53,400 per 100 gram. The cheapest 18-carat gold price stood at ₹10,534, which was ₹86 more expensive on January 10. So far in the month of January, gold prices have increased by 4 percent.
What is the price of silver?
After falling by ₹8,000 between January 8 and 9, silver prices rose again. On January 10, the price of 1 kg silver was recorded at ₹2.60 lakh, an increase of ₹11,000. Silver prices for 100 grams and 10 grams are ₹2,600 and ₹26,000 respectively. Despite the ups and downs, silver rates have gained more than 9.2 percent so far in January.
