What is PM Kisan Yojana and how many installments have been received so far?
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched in February 2019. Under PM Kisan Yojana, the Central Government provides assistance of Rs 6000 per year to eligible farmers. This amount is sent directly to the bank accounts of the farmers in three equal installments. Each installment is of Rs 2000. Till now, the government has released 21 installments of this scheme.
To date, the government has transferred more than Rs 4.09 lakh crore directly into the accounts of farmers in 21 installments. The last installment was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in November. This money is given through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) without any middleman.
