New Delhi, May 22 (IANS). In today’s busy life, there is less time and more work, due to which mental stress and lack of concentration is common. In this fast-paced world, where every person is in search of mental peace, ‘Padmasana’ is one such perfect and natural yoga asana, which helps in giving deep relaxation to our body and mind without any frills.

Padmasana is named after the word ‘Padma’, which means lotus flower. It is not only a physical posture, but also a divine medium to fill new energy of concentration by removing the mental fatigue of modern life.

The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has commented on its benefits. According to the ministry, Padmasana is a steady and soothing meditative posture, which is extremely effective in calming the mind, increasing concentration and awakening internal energy. This is considered to be the basic basis of yoga discipline.

If a person practices this asana regularly, blood circulation in his chest, shoulders and hands improves, metabolism increases and vital energy circulates smoothly in the body. This is considered an effective way for yoga practitioners to awaken their inner strength.

It is very easy to do this. For this, first of all sit on the yoga mat in Dandasana posture. Bend the right knee and place the right foot on the left thigh in such a way that the sole of the foot is upward and the heel is near the navel. Now bend the left knee in the same way and place the left foot on the right thigh. Keep the spine and neck absolutely straight. Place the hands on the knees in Gyan Mudra (the tips of the index finger and thumb together). Do not force the body while practicing; Always do it according to your capacity.

Avoid doing this asana if you have injuries or severe pain in your knees, ankles or hips. Do not try to forcefully bend your legs or press your knees on the ground.
