Burhanpur, March 23 (IANS). HPV vaccination campaign has been intensified to prevent cervical cancer in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh. On Monday, some schoolgirls were given the HPV vaccine at health centres.
HPV vaccination campaign is being carried out at a rapid pace in Burhanpur district. Under this campaign, girls aged 9 to 14 years are being vaccinated in health centers and schools to prevent cervical cancer. The Health Department team is not only reaching every village and school and vaccinating, but is also running awareness programs to remove the misconceptions related to the vaccine.
According to the Health Department, this vaccine is completely safe and effective. By running a campaign for the next three months, a target has been set to include more and more girls with vaccination.
Student Ishita Patil told IANS that I have got vaccinated to prevent cervical cancer. I think they should be used to fulfill the purpose for which they have been brought. I want to thank PM Modi for taking this step out of concern for our health. All girls should get this done.
Another student said that PM Modi takes great care of our health, he has introduced everyone to this vaccine to prevent cervical cancer. This vaccine will help us prevent cervical cancer.
Student Sakshi Solanki said that today we have taken the cervical cancer vaccine. I would like to tell everyone that this vaccine is safe. It protects us from cervical cancer.
Student Rajnandini Rathore said that we have got the vaccine to prevent cancer. I appeal to everyone to get this vaccine.
Health Department Field Officer Vijay Kumar Soni said that a 90-day drive will be conducted in the district. Under which, girls of 14 to 15 years of age will be identified and vaccinated in rural and urban areas of the district. Also, parents will be made aware of various misconceptions going on on social media regarding the vaccine. Our aim is to provide free vaccine to every child.
