New Delhi, April 6 (IANS). With summer it becomes important to take care of both body and skin. While in winter one does not have to take much care of the skin, in summer the skin has to be protected from many things.
Due to strong sunlight and sweat, the skin withers and pimples and acne also start troubling the face. In such a situation, some such herbs have been mentioned in Ayurveda, the use of which makes the skin glow. The first is Neem. Neem is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory, using which blood can be purified and facial glow can be restored. If the problem of pimples and acne is bothering you in summer, then neem leaves can be mixed with multani mitti and applied.
The second one is Manjishtha. Manjishtha is also considered a blood purifying herb in Ayurveda. Manjistha can be consumed to correct facial tone. Along with this, Manjishtha can also be used as a face pack.
The third one is turmeric. Turmeric is easily available in everyone’s home and it has abundant anti-bacterial properties, which helps in enhancing the beauty of the face and also helps in getting rid of blemishes. For this, you can apply a pinch of turmeric mixed with multani mitti and sandalwood. This will also work to cool the face.
Fourth is sandalwood. Sandalwood has cooling properties, which deeply nourishes the skin in summer and also reduces the side effects of sunlight on the skin in summer.
The fifth and last is liquorice. Liquorice is not only effective in reducing cold and cough, but it has also been used for centuries in skin related diseases. Its application reduces dark spots and also provides relief from tanning. If you use these face packs in summer, you can get relief from all kinds of face related problems.
