New Delhi, April 22 (IANS). With the arrival of summer, it becomes difficult to maintain balance between mind and body because along with the outside environment, the temperature inside the body also becomes uncontrolled.
Due to heat, bile increases and due to increase in bile, anger and irritability remain throughout the day. Anger over small things, irritability, impatience, heat in the head, restlessness and inner turmoil can sometimes be signs of increased pitta. In such a situation, it is very important to keep Pitta balanced in summer.
Ayurveda believes that if the body gets coolness and rest then both mind and body can become calm. By taking rest in summer, the body’s energy remains intact and the mind also remains good. It is always advised to sleep during the day and take full rest in the month of Jyeshtha, but along with this, if you keep the body cool from inside, then Pitta automatically remains balanced. There are some solutions for this, after doing which your anger will also reduce.
Drinking tea should be reduced in summer because it increases the heat in the body. This causes both irritation and heat in the body. Instead, take the help of herbal tea. Mix basil, rose leaves, passionflower and chamomile in herbal tea and drink it twice a day. It balances hormones and helps in reducing stress.
The process of Ghee Nasya also helps in balancing the Pitta of the body. This reduces dryness of the body and provides peace to both the brain and mind. For this, put drops of ghee in the nose at night. This reduces stress and also calms the nervous system. Sandalwood paste is a very effective remedy to calm down bile and anger.
Sandalwood has a cooling effect and applying it on the forehead keeps the body temperature balanced and the mind does not remain disturbed. Along with this, massage can also be done with Bhringraj or coconut oil. If people start feeling both angry and restless in summer. In such a situation, the soles and head can be massaged.
