New Delhi, November 8 (IANS). Poor routine and lifestyle can make the body suffer from many diseases. People start falling victim to serious diseases at an early age and some children are born surrounded by diseases.

One such disease caused by bad lifestyle is diabetes, which makes the body hollow and sick from inside. The only information people have about diabetes is to avoid sweets and keep taking medicines throughout life, but it is not so, so let us first understand diabetes and also know the ways to control the disease through indigenous methods.

When the body is not able to utilize the hormone insulin produced in the body properly, glucose starts accumulating in the blood. Pancreas does the work of making insulin. Any kind of disturbance in the pancreas affects the insulin produced in the body.

As soon as insulin gets affected, the amount of sugar i.e. glucose in the body starts increasing and the patient suffers from fatigue, his weight starts falling, frequent urination starts, tingling in the feet, eyes become weak and kidney and brain are affected the most.

In Ayurveda, diabetes is considered a disorder of Vata, Kapha and Med dosha and it gradually weakens the body. Many reasons have been given for the occurrence of this disease, such as eating food rich in fat and carbohydrates, taking excessive stress, less sleep, less physical activity and reducing the intake of sweets. Many ways to control diabetes have been suggested in Ayurveda.

For this, the patient can soak fenugreek seeds and drink water in the morning. Juice made from fresh bitter gourd and blackberry seeds is also beneficial in diabetes. Water of whole coriander seeds also helps in controlling sugar and consumption of Triphala powder at night also provides relief.

Along with this, walk for at least 30 minutes daily and also do light exercise. Consume more green vegetables, pulses and fruits in your diet. Stay away from tea and coffee and turmeric milk at night will also provide relief. Do not stop taking the medicine with all these changes. Reduce the medicine only after consulting the doctor.
