Bengaluru, 3 October (IANS). Congress General Secretary and MP KC Venugopal met Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday at his residence in Bengaluru. Recently, Kharge had a pacemaker surgery.
After the meeting, KC Venugopal said that the health of Mallikarjun Kharge is improving. Since he is a hardworking leader, we have requested him to rest. We met All India Congress Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge, who are undergoing treatment due to health problems and knowing their well being. Now their health is improving. Our president is a tireless worker – he works 24 hours for the party.
He said that wherever his presence is required, he goes to attend the party’s programs. Whether it is the northeastern states or remote areas of the country, he has always been present.
He further said that he is eager to resume the party’s work, but we have urged him to rest completely for his health. Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi are in regular contact with Kharge and are monitoring their health.
In a post on social media, Venugopal said, “Today I met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Bangalore. It was a pleasure to know that after the medical process, he is completely healthy and returned to work and returning to work and is handling the reins of party functioning!”
Venugopal further said that ‘I wish for his good health and quick health.
The Indian National Congress said on social media platform Facebook that Kharge, whose pacemaker surgery has been successful, has been discharged from a hospital in Bengaluru.
The Indian National Congress said, “Kharge was discharged from the hospital this evening. He is healthy and wants to thank you for all the best. He is eager to resume his activities as per advice soon. We thank all for his greetings and support.”
Kharge was admitted to MS Ramaiya Hospital in Bangalore after complaints of fatigue and breathing shortage after participating in busy election campaign in Bihar.
