New Delhi, April 13 (IANS). The journey of becoming a mother is very special for every woman, but it also brings with it many physical and mental changes. In such a situation, if you want to make this whole time a little easier and pleasant, then doing light yoga asanas daily is a great way. Yoga not only strengthens the body but also keeps the mind calm, due to which you are able to enjoy this beautiful journey in a better way.
During pregnancy, women often have to face problems like back pain, fatigue, lack of sleep and stress. In such a situation, taking out some time every day and doing yoga can be very beneficial. You can start with some easy exercises, like slowly rotating the neck back and forth and left and right, rotating the shoulders or doing light movements of the legs. These small exercises keep your body active and reduce stiffness.
After this you can do some simple yoga asanas, like Tadasana, Vrikshasana or Sukhasana. These asanas maintain body balance and strengthen the muscles. If you are feeling very tired, then do comfortable asanas like Shavasana, it provides relief to the body.
Breathing exercises i.e. Pranayama are also very important during this period. Pranayams like deep inhaling and exhaling, Nadi Shodhana or Bhramari calm the mind and reduce stress. This also improves sleep and maintains positivity in the mind. You can also meditate for 10–15 minutes daily, this will give you mental peace and you will feel a beautiful bond with your child.
The most important thing is to listen to your body while doing yoga. If you feel discomfort or pain in any asana, stop immediately. Make your daily routine only after consulting a doctor or yoga expert, so that you can take the benefits of yoga while remaining completely safe.
