New Delhi, December 29 (IANS). In today’s time, we often like to treat diseases through medicines, but do you know that our body itself has a hidden amazing ability to heal itself? This is called self-healing power or natural healing power in Ayurveda. According to Ayurveda, maintaining balance and proper flow of energy in the body is the basic foundation of health. When this balance is disturbed, diseases emerge.
According to Ayurveda, coordination of body, mind and soul is necessary for health. If there is harmony among these three, then the body is able to fight and cure diseases on its own. For example, light eating habits, regular yoga and pranayam increase the body’s immunity. Similarly, adequate sleep and mental peace also activate the self-healing power of the body.
Herbal remedies and natural herbs are used in Ayurveda because they balance the body’s natural forces without disrupting it. Herbs like turmeric, ashwagandha, basil and ginger not only fight diseases but also promote natural healing processes inside the body. Apart from this, procedures like Panchakarma are also used in Ayurveda to detoxify the body and maintain energy balance.
Ayurveda also teaches us that daily habits and lifestyle are the greatest medicine. A balanced diet, timely meals, exercise, yoga and positive thinking strengthen the body’s natural healing ability. When we improve our lifestyle, the body starts healing itself and the need for medicines reduces.
Modern science also says the same. Stem cells in our body repair damaged tissues. The immune system fights thousands of germs every day. The liver can regenerate itself. The gut-brain axis helps with healing by connecting the body and mind.
