New Delhi, December 23 (IANS). Morning time is considered important for both body and mind. This is the time when our body comes out of the lethargy of the night and prepares itself for the new day. According to Ayurveda, the right drink taken in the morning not only awakens the digestive fire but also sets the tone for the entire day’s energy and balance.
Science also believes that drinking light, warm and natural drinks in the morning activates the body’s metabolism in a better way. For this reason, Ayurvedic tea is again returning to people’s daily routine. It gradually works to strengthen the body from within.
The special thing about Ayurvedic tea is that the herbs and spices used in it are easily available in the kitchen. Science has also done research on these elements and believes that the natural chemicals present in them protect the body from many problems. Let us know about five such teas, which if drunk every morning can benefit health in many ways.
Ginger Tea:- Ginger tea is considered to increase ‘Deepan’ i.e. digestive fire in Ayurveda. An element called gingerol is found in ginger, which helps in reducing swelling and maintaining warmth in the body. This is the reason why ginger tea provides relief in cold, cough and sore throat. According to science, ginger soothes problems like stomach gas, nausea and indigestion. Drinking ginger tea in the morning improves blood circulation, which keeps the body energetic.
Tulsi Tea:- Tulsi tea is considered equivalent to nectar in Ayurveda. Tulsi helps in balancing the body’s immunity. The antioxidants present in it give the body strength to fight infections. Scientific research suggests that basil can also be helpful in reducing stress, as it balances stress hormones in the body. Drinking basil tea during changing seasons helps in preventing problems like cold, cough and fever.
Mint Tea:- Mint tea is considered very light and soothing for the stomach. According to Ayurveda, mint cools the digestive system and helps in expelling the gas accumulated in the stomach. Science also believes that the menthol present in mint relaxes the muscles of the digestive tract. This can reduce problems like stomach pain, restlessness and acidity. Drinking mint tea in the morning also makes the mind feel refreshed.
Turmeric Tea:- Turmeric tea is now being called ‘Natural Immunity Drink’. Turmeric contains an element called curcumin, which helps in reducing inflammation and keeping the body clean from inside. Turmeric is considered a blood purifier in Ayurveda. According to science, turmeric can be helpful in joint pain, mild swelling and fatigue. Drinking turmeric tea every morning gradually strengthens the body’s immunity.
Lemon Tea:- This is considered to be a tea that refreshes the body. Vitamin C present in lemon increases the body’s strength to fight diseases. According to Ayurveda, lemon improves digestion and helps in removing toxic elements from the body. Science also believes that lemon activates metabolism and can also be beneficial for the skin.
