Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi unit president Saurabh Bhardwaj on Tuesday criticized the BJP government after heavy rains in the national capital. In a post on Ax, Bhardwaj highlighted the plight of Ramlila at Shalimar Bagh and claimed that a lot of money was wasted on cleaning the drains. The AAP Delhi president claimed that the condition of the city becomes very bad during the rains.

Bhardwaj wrote, “Look at the work of Phulera Panchayat – Look at the condition of Ramlila in Shalimar Bagh, the constituency of CM Rekha Gupta. Contracts of crores of rupees were given in the name of cleaning the drains. Delhi’s condition was disturbed in the rain.” The party’s Delhi unit president said that despite the order of the High Court, the government is ignoring the audit of the third party.

Bhardwaj said, “Despite the order of the High Court, the government is running away from conducting audit from third party.” Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi NCR and predicted light rain in the area in the next two to three days.
