The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released its manifesto “resolution letter” for the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) election. Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himant Biswa Sarma said that BTC elections will be held on September 22. CM Sarma said, “Bodoland Regional Council (BTC) elections will be held on September 22 and this election will ensure a new journey in Bodoland regional area. BJP has issued a resolution letter for BTC election. We will implement all the schemes in BTR area. The BTR students will be benefited under the Nijut Moina scheme.
CM Sarma, State BJP President Dilip Saikia released the election manifesto of the BJP for the BTC election in the presence of senior BJP leader Harish Dwivedi, Assam Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu during an event held at the state BJP headquarters in Guwahati.
During the program, an election campaign by the BJP party was also inaugurated. The Assam BJP spokesperson said in a press release on Thursday that for the purpose of peace, development and safe Bodoland region, the Bharatiya Janata Party has come to the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections this time with a militant spirit in the Bodoland Council (BTC) elections.
The press release issued by BJP state spokesperson Jayant Kumar Goswami said that this time the power of BTC will definitely be in the hands of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stressed that BJP’s rule in BTC is necessary for corruption -free BTC. He also highlighted the corruption prevailing during the previous BPF and UPPL governments. The press release said, “In addition, he said that the BPF and UPPL governments embezzled the money sent from Delhi and Dispur for the welfare of the BTC people, which deprived the people of BTC.”
Under the leadership of CM Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, with the support of several ministers and legislators of the Council of Ministers, led the organizational strength with State BJP President Dilip Saikia, the BJP actively entered the BTC control race. On Thursday, Chief Minister Sarma participated in three election rallies in Bhergaon, Bhairabkunda and Dihira. The Chief Minister also joined the state president Dilip Saikia and other leaders. In the presence of thousands of BTC residents in these rallies, the Chief Minister said that the BJP has come to BTC with the target of peace, harmony and rich BTC.
The Chief Minister stressed that when the Bharatiya Janata Party regulates BTC, it will surely reach 100 percent of the money again and again, which will make the real development of BTC residents possible. Dilip Saikia, who was present at the rallies, urged the people to vote for BJP candidates to create an atmosphere where all communities and ethnic groups in BTC could live with respect. The state BJP spokesperson further said that in the coming days, BJP’s campaigning program will be expedited in BTC sector in the coming days.
