Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not attend the annual high-level session of the United Nations General Assembly to be held later this month. This information has been received from the revised provisional list of speakers released here.
The 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly will begin on September 9. The high -level session will be from 23 to 29 September with the Brazil traditionally the first speaker of the session, followed by the US in second place.
US President Donald Trump will address global leaders from the UNGA platform on 23 September. This will be his first address in the United Nations session in his second term at the White House.
According to the revised provisional list released on Friday of the speakers who attended the high level session, India’s representation was represented by External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar will do it. He will address the session on 27 September.
In fact, earlier in the provisional list of speakers released in July, it was informed that Prime Minister Modi will address the session on 26 September.
The Head of Government of Israel, China, Pakistan and Bangladesh will address the session of the United Nations General Assembly on 26 September.
