The Lok Sabha Secretariat has told the Ministry of Home Affairs that the West Bengal government should be replied in three days regarding the deadly attack on Khagan Murmu. Khagan is a two -time MP from North Malda Lok Sabha seat with Murmu tribal. He went to help the people affected by the disaster in Jalpaiguri and the surrounding areas. He was accompanied by BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh in West Bengal. At the same time, Khagan Murmu and Shankar Ghosh were attacked. In the video that went viral after the incident, Khagan Murmu’s head and face showed a fountain of blood. Regarding the health of the BJP MP, the hospital has stated that their situation is currently stable. There are many injuries on the face. The bone is broken under the eye. It is being told that Khagan Murmu’s face will have to undergo surgery. Khagan Murmu is in ICU. BJP leadership is considering to bring Khagan Murmu to Delhi and admitted to AIIMS.

Jalpaiguri police of West Bengal have registered a case against eight people in the case of attack on BJP MP Khagan Murmu and MLA Shankar Ghosh. The BJP has alleged that its MP Khagan Murmu and MLA Shankar Ghosh were attacked by supporters of Mamta Banerjee’s party TMC. BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh has told the police that he was punched.
