An important update has come for passengers traveling between Hyderabad and Dubai. Tata group airline Air India Express has announced the launch of a new non-stop flight between Hyderabad (HYD) and Dubai (DXB) from 29 March 2026. This change has been made to give a new direction to the operations of Air India, which will provide passengers an opportunity to travel by air at a lower cost. Now instead of full service, budget flight facility will be available on this route.
When will the new flights start and what will change?
According to reports, this new service is going to start from March 29, 2026. From this date, Air India’s full-service flights will stop on this route and their entire responsibility will be handed over to Air India Express. This means that now you will get the option of low-cost airlines to travel on this route. Company officials have clarified that the flights have not been cancelled, rather they have been shifted so that connectivity between the two cities is maintained.
Important rules related to fare and baggage
Ticket prices have been kept quite affordable for the passengers, which can provide relief to the common man. The airline has given the option of different types of fares and facilities.
Rent: One-way fare for economy class is said to be around ₹10,283 (AED 454) to ₹11,366.
Baggage: There is allowance for carrying 7 kg of luggage in the cabin. There is a 15 kg limit for check-in baggage in ‘Xpress Value’ and ‘Xpress Flex’. If you choose ‘Xpress Lite’, check-in bag will not be included.
Eat: There will be no free food in the flight. Passengers can pre-book their favorite meal from the ‘Gourmair’ menu by paying ₹500.
What things do passengers need to keep in mind?
Passengers who were earlier accustomed to free food and business class facilities in Air India flights, will now have to pay separately for these facilities. Air India Express is a budget airline, so business class seats will not be available here. However, there will be direct connectivity between Dubai and Hyderabad, which will be of great convenience to workers and business travelers living in Gulf countries. For small children (infants), free facility of carrying 10 kg of luggage and a stroller has been given.
