New Delhi. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has won the Delhi University Students Union election. Three posts, including the chairman, have been won by ABVP while the post of Vice President has been captured by the National Students Union (NSUI). Aryan Mann of ABVP conquered the post of president by about 16 thousand votes. At the same time, Kunal Chaudhary of ABVP has won the post of Secretary and Deepika Jha. NSUI’s Rahul Jhansla succeeded in winning the post of vice president. Voting was held on Thursday for the student union election, although the voting percentage was just less 39.45 percent.

It was during voting that NSUI also had a dispute between ABVP supporters. The NSUI had accused the ABVP of tampering with EVMs and also said that he would move the court after the results. On behalf of ABVP, Aryan Mann for the post of President, Govind Tanwar for the post of Vice President, Kunal Chaudhary for the post of Secretary and Deepika Jha for Joint Secretary. While Josleen Nandita Chaudhary for the post of president from NSUI, Rahul Jhansla for the post of Vice President, Kabir for the post of Secretary and Lavkush Bhadana for Joint Secretary were standing in the election. Apart from NSUI and ABVP candidate for the post of president, seven other candidates were also trying their luck in the election.
After the counting started in the morning, it is believed that ABVP will win. ABVP was ahead in almost every round. In the last year’s election, Congress -backed organization National Students Union of India got the post of president after seven years. Raunak Khatri of NSUI was elected president last year. He won by defeating Rishabh Chaudhary of ABVP by nearly 1,300 votes.
