Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday claimed that “votes were stolen” through 25 lakh fake votes in the Haryana Assembly elections held last year. There is currently no response from the Election Commission on his claim.
The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha told reporters, “What I am saying is 100 percent true.” An entire state’s (elections) were stolen.” He said that all the surveys had predicted Congress’s victory in Haryana, but the results were completely opposite.
Gandhi said, “I want to tell ‘Jane Ji’ that see how your future is being stolen.” He showed a video of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s statement in which Saini had talked about having “arrangements” to form the government. Rahul Gandhi claimed that 25,41,144 fake votes were “stolen” in Haryana through five different methods.
In the assembly elections held in Haryana in October 2024, BJP had won continuously by securing 48 seats out of total 90 seats. Congress had got 37 seats. Earlier, on September 18, Rahul Gandhi had claimed that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar was protecting ‘killers of democracy’ and ‘vote thieves’. He had also said that Gyanesh Kumar should stop giving protection to such people. The Election Commission had termed his allegations as baseless.
