Saudi Arabia’s ports are now directly connected to 17 major ports of the world. Saudi Ports Authority i.e. Mawani has recently started many new shipping services. This step will not only strengthen the supply chain but will also make it easier to send and receive goods across the world. This will help in making Saudi Arabia a major global logistics hub.
Saudi Arabia is connected to the ports of which countries and cities?
Saudi Arabia has chosen major ports of countries like China, India and Singapore to increase its connectivity. This includes India’s Nhava Sheva and Mundra ports, which will directly benefit Indian traders. Apart from this, there will also be direct connectivity with China’s busy ports like Shanghai and Chengdu. Ports of Jordan, Egypt, Somalia and Djibouti have also been included in this list.

New shipping service and its impact on business
Mawani has launched several new services during March and April 2026, which will add capacity by approximately 63,594 containers. This will give more flexibility to exporters and importers in sending goods. This entire change has been done keeping in mind the objectives of Vision 2030. For these services, it has joined hands with big shipping companies like MSC, CMA CGM, Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd.
