An email containing a bomb threat created chaos in the District Court complex in Delhi on Tuesday morning, after which the complex was evacuated. A search operation was conducted and it was eventually revealed that the email was a fake email.
An email containing bomb blast threat was received this morning in Patiala House Court, Rohini Court and Saket Court. After this, the security personnel examined the court premises.
Advocate Tarun Rana, Secretary of New Delhi Bar Association, said that in the morning he had received an email informing him that a bomb had been planted in the premises. After the search operation it was found that this email was fake.
Security agencies in the national capital are on high alert after the blast near the Red Fort on November 10. “We request the lawyers to cooperate with the security personnel deployed in the court premises,” he said.
Earlier in the day, Red Fort bomb blast case accused Jasir Bilal alias Danish received a bomb threat to Patiala House Court ahead of his production by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Bomb disposal squad and dog squad have reached Patiala House Court. Rapid Action Force (RAF) has also been deployed outside the court. Apart from this, security arrangements were also increased.
On November 10, 15 people were killed and many others were injured in the blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. The main accused, Kashmiri resident Dr Umar Un Nabi, was driving the vehicle carrying the explosive material.
