According to airport officials, due to closure of airspace in the Middle East, flight operations have reduced to almost zero. Companies running direct flights from Coimbatore to Gulf have stopped their services for the time being. Its biggest impact has been on those people who were going to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah for work.
