11th and 12th century temple ruins found during excavation
The expansion work of the famous Mahakal temple located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh is going on. During this expansion work, the remains of a thousand years old temple were found from the temple. During the excavation, many important 11th century idols also came out from the temple. In which many beautiful temples of Parmar era were also found. During the excavation in the temple, the culture department had found the idol of the mother. Due to which he sent 4 members of the Purnatva Department of Bhopal for the test of Ujjain Mahakal.
Dr. Ramesh Yadav, the chief officer of the Department of Purity, told that the 11th and 12th century temples had come down from under the temple. Apart from this, a wall was also found in the south, which is more than 2 thousand years old. Let us tell you that even in the first year 2020, when the excavation was done in the temple, even then the remains of some thousand years old temple were found. Due to which the work was stopped. During the excavation, one after the other ancient heritage is coming out. According to Dr Ramesh Yadav, it is very difficult to say anything about this right now. Till now, no information has been received about who would have built this temple, which will come to the fore only after the amendment.
According to Dr Ramesh Yadav, first all the idols and structures will be aligned. Only after that he will be able to get out on a taran. Ujjain Collector Ashish Singh said that he is making all possible efforts to save the ancient remains found from the temple. For this reason, the excavation work of the temple is also being done at a very slow pace.
