Mayawati, born on 15 January 1956, is the national president of Bahujan Samaj Party. He has held the reins of the post of Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh four times. This is a strong pillar of politics. There is also talk among the people about his assuming the post of Prime Minister. These are the 6 main reasons for his candidature for the post of Prime Minister.

1. Experience

Mayawati became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh four times. In which his tenure was twice for 6 months, once for 18 months and once for 5 years. According to her, if she gets the opportunity to become the Prime Minister, she will use her experience to give the best government at the Centre. She has experience, with that experience she will work for the welfare of the people. For this, she will try to form the best government from all aspects by adopting the form of Uttar Pradesh. A good government at all levels.

2. alliance

Bahujan Samajwadi Party president Mayawati formed an alliance with Jan Seva, Communist Party of India and Communist Party of India Marxist in the Lok Sabha and state assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. BSP contested three out of 25 Lok Sabha and 21 out of 175 assembly seats in the state. He also formed an alliance with Congress and Samajwadi Party in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

3. Dynasty

Due to not being part of a political family, Mayawati has a higher position than her political opponents. Democratic India deserves real leaders who have come from among the people and not those who are using politics as a legacy. The Gandhi family, three generations of whom have ruled India as prime ministers, publicly condemn nepotism but single out their sister and brother-in-law for publicity. Similarly, the leader of the state’s opposition Samajwadi Party, Mulayam Singh Yadav, has also supported dynasty rule and appointed his son Akhilesh Yadav as the party’s successor.

4. Change at the national level

According to Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, Mayawati claims that people want change at the national level. People want a party in power that will take care of their welfare, listen to them and solve their problems. His party secured the third largest vote bank in the 2014 elections after BJP and Congress. On the need for a third front, he said that the need for a third front will become clear when the election results come.

5. Non-fulfillment of promises made by other parties

According to Mayawati, the public rejected the power of that party which did not fulfill the promises it had made. Last time, BJP had promised to give Rs 15-20 lakh to every poor family and made other big promises, which were not fulfilled in five years. Then Congress promised to give Rs 72,000 per year if it won the elections. According to Mayawati, Congress should remember that late Indira Gandhi had also started a 20-point program in the name of eradicating poverty. Has poverty gone? To remove poverty, there is a need to make the poor skilled in work.

6. Representation of Dalit castes

Mayawati’s Bahujan Samajwadi Party aims to serve and represent the lower and backward castes of India. People of this section need social and economic progress. They should also get their fundamental rights. This is no small task. Therefore, the Dalits of India know that as a capable leader, Mayawati is the only person who can fight for their rights at the national level.

Due to these reasons, Mayawati is a capable candidate as a contender for the post of Prime Minister.
