A healthy life is desired in everyone’s heart. Many principles have been given in the Indian Puranas to make life healthy and balanced. Garuda Purana, which is considered a book guiding the deeds of death and life in Hinduism, presents an important ideal not only for salvation and virtue but also to stay healthy in daily life. According to this, by adopting some simple but impressive habits, we can improve not only physical but also mental and spiritual health.

1. Adopt regular routine
According to Garuda Purana, it is very important to follow the routine. Waking up early in the morning, welcoming the rays of the sun and eating on time is considered beneficial for health. Routine brings discipline in life and balances the organic watches of the body.

2. Eat balanced and satvic food
It is said in the book that consumption of pure, sattvic and nutritious food is necessary for health. The fried-roasted and highly spicy food weakens the body, while fruits, vegetables and pulses provide energy to the body and mind.

3. Regular yoga and exercise
For a healthy life, it is important to keep the body strong and mentally calm. Garuda Purana recommends regular yoga, pranayama and mild exercise. This transmits energy in the body and reduces mental stress.

4. Consumption and purity of water
A large pillar of health is to drink enough water and consume pure water. The importance of water in the book has been given a higher place, as it removes toxins from the body and cleans the internal organs.

5. Cleanliness and Personal Cleanliness
Garuda Purana states that clean body, clean clothes and clean environment are beneficial for both mental and physical health. Daily bathing and cleaning of hands and feet prevents diseases.

6. Food and restraint on time
Eating excessive food or late food is considered harmful to health. In the Purana, it is advisable to eat food on time and restraint in food. Due to this, digestion is maintained and the balance of energy remains in the body.

7. Mental balance and meditation
Healthy life is not limited to physical health only. The importance of mental health is also mentioned in Garuda Purana. The practice of meditation, practice and positive thoughts daily provides mental stability and peace.

8. Adherence to environment and natural laws
It is also important for health to keep pace with nature and keep the environment clean. Following sunrise and sunset, working according to natural time, keeps the body and mind in natural balance.

9. attachment to karma and satkarma
Along with physical health, mental and spiritual health also strengthens mental and spiritual health. Garuda Purana states that helping others, donating and staying away from negative thoughts maintains balance in life.

10. Importance of relaxation and sleep
Good sleep is very important for life. According to the Purana, sleeping on time and getting adequate sleep helps in repairing the body and maintaining mental energy. Lack of sleep increases disease and mental stress.
