A man went into a coma after a car accident and when he regained consciousness, he accused his girlfriend of deliberately causing the accident, which led to his death. Florida resident Daniel Waterman was in the car with his girlfriend when she told him she was pregnant. She claimed that Leah Mumby told her, “I don’t know what’s going to happen, but you’re going to get what you deserve.” After this she started driving recklessly. His girlfriend got angry and started messaging someone when he told her about the pregnancy.
According to court documents, on the night of the Super Bowl in February, the pair were driving on Interstate 95 in Flagler County, Florida. 24-year-old Mumbi told Mumbi that she was pregnant, after which she received a message from a woman in New York. She became angry and the car crashed into a tree. Waterman suffered serious injuries and went into a coma.
The man regained consciousness briefly in May, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by People magazine. He tried his best not to let his girlfriend survive and used a whiteboard to tell investigators that she was the cause of the accident. She narrated everything that happened in the car, pregnancy, fights and how she got angry and started driving at high speed.
