Mandya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Temple located at Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri in Mandya district of Karnataka on Wednesday at around 11 am. Will also address the gathering on this occasion. During this, the Prime Minister will also jointly release a book titled ‘Soundarya Lahari and Shiva Mahimna Stotram’ with former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Temple is a memorial dedicated to Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharnath Mahaswamiji, the 71st priest of Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasansthan Math. Built in the traditional Dravidian architectural style, the temple pays tribute to the life and legacy of the late saint. The statement said the temple has been envisioned not only as a site of reverence but also as a source of inspiration for future generations. Sri Sri Sri Bal Gangadharnath Mahaswamiji was widely respected for his lifelong dedication to social service. He established many educational institutions and health facilities. He firmly believed that social service was the highest worship, and his teachings inspired millions of people crossing the boundaries of caste, religion and region.
Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the six-lane Delhi-Dehradun Expressway built at a cost of Rs 12,000 crore. This highway project will reduce the travel time between the two cities from five-six hours to about 2-2.5 hours.
This 213 km long controlled route is now open for use and is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity. It connects major cities of Uttar Pradesh like Baghpat, Baraut, Shamli and Saharanpur before reaching Dehradun. It will also connect to major national corridors including Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Katra and Delhi-Meerut Expressways.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi inspected the Wildlife Corridor on the elevated section of the Economic Corridor in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Union Highways and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak were also present during the visit.
An exhibition showing the process of construction of the wildlife corridor was set up and officials briefed the Prime Minister about the project. Prime Minister Modi also conducted a road show along the wildlife corridor, which attracted huge crowds on both sides of the road.
