New Delhi, May 13 (IANS). BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal, ED’s action in the Municipal Corporation recruitment scam in West Bengal and other issues.
On Prime Minister Modi’s appeal for work from home, online classes and carpooling, Gaurav Vallabh told IANS, “India buys crude oil worth about Rs 12.5 lakh crore every year. Gold worth Rs 6.5 lakh crore is imported into India. In this way, we are spending Rs 18.5 lakh crore only on these two things. If we control 10 per cent, we can save about Rs 2 lakh crore foreign exchange.”
On the arrest of former West Bengal minister Sujit Bose by ED, Gaurav Vallabh said, “Those who committed fraud and corruption will not be spared during the 15 years of TMC rule. Action will be taken against all those involved in it. The model of protecting and promoting infiltrators has collapsed. Now the model of development for the people of Bengal will be implemented in Bengal.”
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh said, “We have formed the government in Assam for the third consecutive time and every time the number of our MLAs has increased compared to the last time.”
Earlier, Gaurav Vallabh had said, “Asaduddin Owaisi has now started having problems with ‘Vande Mataram’, which shows his ‘divisive mentality’. BJP believes in the policy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and considers the unity and nationalism of the country as paramount. ‘Vande Mataram’ is the national song composed by the great litterateur Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and any kind of objection regarding it is against the sentiments of the country. It is against. ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ will also be sung, ‘Vande Mataram’ will also be sung and ‘Jana-Gana-Mana’ will also be sung with full respect.”
