Maharashtra Minister Nitish Rane seems angry with the recent statements given by famous singer AR Rahman about not getting work in Bollywood. Nitish Rane has once again given a controversial statement, in which he has used strong words against AR Rahman. Commenting on the statements of singer and composer AR Rahman, Nitish Rane, known for his controversial statements, said, “If someone had given such statements against Pakistan, Karachi or Bangladesh, would any Islamic country have allowed him to live? Or would he have been killed and expelled from the country?”
‘People like AR Rahman should not be given a platform’
Nitish Rane also objected to AR Rahman’s appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show. He said, “Why do we invite such people (AR Rahman) on programs like ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’? People who make anti-national statements have the right to express their opinion. But people who insult our country or the Hindu community should not be given any platform.”
‘We need to create fear among people’ – Nitesh Rane
Nitish Rane says that such people should be boycotted so that in future no country dares to speak against the Hindu community or the Hindu nation. “We need to create this fear among people,” he said.
What did AR Rahman say?
While talking to BBC Asian Network, AR Rahman had claimed that he has not been getting work in Hindi cinema for the last 8 years. He attributed this to the “power shift” that has taken place in the last 11 years, and said that power is now in the hands of people who are not creative. He claimed that this was not a communal issue. However, after receiving reaction from celebrities and politicians, AR Rahman clarified his statements on The Kapil Sharma Show.
