Raipur, January 1 (IANS). Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao on Thursday extended best wishes to all the people of the state for the New Year 2026. He said that today is the first day of the year and on this occasion he would like to heartily congratulate and best wishes to all the people of Chhattisgarh. He prayed that the new year brings happiness, prosperity and progress in everyone’s life.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the year is starting with a very special and historic program. The bhoomi pujan of the ‘Bhoramdev Corridor Development Project’, which is going to be built at a cost of about Rs 146 crore, is going to be held in Chhattisgarh’s famous religious and historical tourist destination Bhoramdev, approved under ‘Bharat Darshan Yojana 2.0’. Along with this, Chhattisgarh has also got the hosting of National Tribal Games under ‘Khelo India’.
He told that the torch journey of this sport is going to start now, which will go to different districts and promote the sport. It will start 2026 with new enthusiasm, enthusiasm and energy in the entire state.
Referring to the efforts of the government in the last two years, Arun Sao said that not only the people of Chhattisgarh but the entire country has seen how fast and effectively the work of Naxal eradication is being done.
He assured that at this pace, Bastar and the entire state will be made Naxal free by March 2026. With this, there will be development, basic facilities and prosperity in these areas.
He said that the commitment of the government is clearly visible. A new direction of development is starting in Naxal affected areas and these areas will also gradually move towards overall development. The Deputy Chief Minister also said that the government’s goal is not limited to security only, but also to improve the quality of life of the people and increase opportunities for children, youth, farmers and tribals.
Arun Sao appealed to all the people of the state to move forward in the new year with positive thinking and cooperation. He expressed hope that 2026 will prove to be a year of achievements and development for Chhattisgarh and the state will progress in every field.
