Lucknow, July 15 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party has started sharpening its election preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027. On one hand, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is busy in taking the work of the government to the public through inauguration-laying of foundation stone of development projects and public meetings across the state, while on the other hand, State President Pankaj Chaudhary and State General Secretary (Organization) Dharampal Singh are engaged in the campaign to activate the organization till the booth level.
BJP’s strategy is to maintain its electoral lead on the basis of the government’s performance and the strength of its organization. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been continuously visiting the districts for the last several months. In every tour, he is addressing public meetings along with inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of development projects. Special emphasis is also being laid on making government schemes and achievements reach the common people.
According to departmental information, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth thousands of crores of rupees in more than two dozen districts of the state between April and June 2026. During this period, roads, health, education, urban development, tourism, sports and industrial in many districts including Agra (Rs 6,466 crore), Saharanpur (Rs 2,131 crore), Lalitpur (Rs 1,766 crore), Gorakhpur, Deoria, Azamgarh, Muzaffarnagar, Kushinagar, Gonda, Unnao, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Aligarh, Firozabad, Sant Kabir Nagar, Hathras, Moradabad, Pilibhit and Rampur. Hundreds of projects related to the structure were handed over.
The foundation stone of the International Cricket Stadium in Gorakhpur and the inauguration of many important projects related to urban development and labor welfare in Lucknow also took place during this period. The Chief Minister’s tour of the districts continues. On the other hand, BJP organization is also busy in increasing activism till booth level. After the formation of the new team of the state organization, State President Pankaj Chaudhary and State General Secretary (Organization) Dharampal Singh are continuously visiting the districts.
In recent days, Dharampal Singh reviewed the election preparations by holding meetings with Shakti Kendra coordinators and booth presidents in Jhansi, Lalitpur, Kanpur Dehat, Bareilly, Rampur, Amroha and Moradabad. At the same time, Pankaj Chaudhary gave the message to the workers to remain active through organizational meetings in Mirzapur, Sonbhadra and Bahraich. BJP is going to organize booth conferences in all the assembly constituencies of the state on July 22. This is being seen as the formal beginning of organizational preparations for the assembly elections.
The party has made state general secretary Dilip Patel the coordinator of this campaign and state ministers Shiv Bhushan Singh and Rahul Valmiki as co-convenors. BJP state spokesperson Avnish Tyagi said that Bharatiya Janata Party is an organization based party, which remains active among the people not only during elections but throughout the year. Party workers remain continuously connected with the common people through various campaigns of service, good governance and public welfare.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State President and State General Secretary (Organization), the organization is working to solve the problems of the public by keeping the workers active till the booth level and taking the public welfare schemes of the government to the last person.
Senior political analyst Virendra Singh Rawat says that BJP has started preparations for the assembly elections 2027 long ago. According to him, continuous activism is being seen at both the government and organizational levels. The Chief Minister’s statewide tour, organization meetings and appointments of new officials can be considered part of this strategy. An effort to give representation to different social classes and regions is also visible in the recently announced state team.
