Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday alleged that BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh has become the center of corruption and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent as always on the death of the poor, regarding the death of many people due to contaminated water in Indore. He also claimed that the BJP’s “double engine” is responsible for the “murder” of the right to life.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted on Twitter and wrote that there is no water in Indore, poison is distributed and the administration is in Kumbhakarni sleep. There is mourning in every house, the poor are helpless and on top of that the arrogant statements of BJP leaders. Those in whose homes the stoves had gone out needed solace; The government acted arrogantly. People repeatedly complained about dirty, smelly water – yet why was there no hearing? How did sewerage get into drinking water? Why was the supply not stopped in time? When will action be taken against the responsible officers and leaders? This is not a ‘funny’ question – this is a demand for accountability. Clean water is not a favor, it is a right to life. And BJP’s double engine, its careless administration and insensitive leadership are completely responsible for the murder of this right.
Madhya Pradesh has now become the epicenter of misgovernance – somewhere deaths due to cough syrup, somewhere rats killing children in government hospitals, and now deaths due to drinking water mixed with sewerage. And whenever the poor die, Modi ji remains silent as always.
Let us tell you that the government has also presented its status report in the High Court in the case of death due to dirty water in Indore. Hearing the PIL, the court has fixed January 6 as the next date of hearing. The status report states that so far only four deaths have occurred due to dirty water. On the other hand, information about the death of 15 people has come to light.
