New Delhi, November 2 (IANS). Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdul Latif bin Rashid Aljayani, Foreign Minister S. Has reached India to co-chair the fifth meeting of the India-Bahrain High Joint Commission with Jaishankar.
The objective of this meeting is to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. The visit is an important initiative to review cooperation between India and Bahrain in various fields.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal posted on Twitter on Sunday, in which he wrote that a warm welcome is given to Abdul Latif bin Rashid Aljayani, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain. That is Foreign Minister S. Will co-chair the fifth India-Bahrain High Joint Commission meeting with Jaishankar. This visit provides an opportunity to carry forward the positive momentum in relations between the two countries.
The High Joint Commission serves as a key institutional mechanism to deepen and review the multidimensional partnership between India and Bahrain.
The latest edition of the meeting is expected to take stock of progress in existing areas of cooperation besides exploring new avenues of trade, investment, financial technology, energy, health, education and people-to-people exchanges.
India and Bahrain have long-standing relations based on historical, cultural and economic ties. Diplomatic relations between the two countries date back to 1971.
According to official sources, Bahrain has a large Indian community and contributes to the state’s economy. According to official data, bilateral trade includes sectors such as petroleum products, machinery, electronics and food items.
In recent years, bilateral trade and investment have emerged as important pillars of cooperation.
