New Delhi, November 22 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have opposed Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Humayun Kabir’s announcement on December 6 to build ‘Babri Masjid’ in Murshidabad. BJP leaders clearly said that not a single brick will be allowed to be laid in the name of Babar in India.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya told IANS, “Babar was a foreign invader who demolished the original Ram temple at the birthplace of Lord Ram and built a structure there.”
Describing TMC, Congress, Samajwadi Party and RJD as anti-Hindu and anti-Ram parties, Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “It is wrong to support Babar in his name. That structure was demolished by Ram-bhakt kar sevaks on December 6, 1992. Not a single brick will be allowed to be laid in the name of that Babar in India.”
BJP spokesperson Yasir Jilani said, “TMC leaders, especially MLA Humayun Kabir, are known for politics of hatred. They do politics only for appeasement. They are deliberately creating communal tension in Bengal. They know that people will reject TMC in the coming elections.”
He said that a wave of political change is rising in West Bengal. Due to this restlessness, Humayun Kabir and big leaders of TMC are trying to mislead people to save their vote bank.
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma also reacted to the TMC MLA’s statement. Taking aim at the ruling party of West Bengal, he said, “Be it Sanatani traditions, values of the country or glorification of the country, TMC wants to end all of them. They are also trying to suppress the majority society of the country.”
The saints of Ayodhya also opposed the statement of the TMC MLA. Karpatri Maharaj, replying to Humayun Kabir, said, “No mosque will be built in the name of Babar anywhere in India. This is certain.”
Mahamandaleshwar Vishnu Das said, “TMC MLAs, despite being in India, are somehow raising a big challenge for the court, constitution and law. When they have been given five acres of land for Babri Masjid, they are doing such things which are hurting the culture and faith of the followers of Sanatan Dharma.”
