Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on the completion of 75 years. PM Modi praised Bhagwat and said that he dedicated his life to strengthening equality, harmony and brotherhood in the country.
He wrote in a post, “Mohan Bhagwat ji, inspired by the mantra of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, has devoted to strengthen the spirit of equality, harmony and fraternity. On the special occasion of Mohan ji’s 75th birthday, I have expressed their feelings towards his longevity and healthy life.”
Mohan Bhagwat became the Sarsanghchalak or chairman of the RSS in 2009 after assuming the post of general secretary of the organization since 2000.
According to a blog post by PM Modi, “Bhagwat became a preacher in the middle of the 1970s. In normal life, the pracharak is confused that he will be the preacher, but the union knows that the publicity tradition is the characteristics of the Sangh work. In the last 100 years, thousands of young men and women who have been inspired by patriotism, have given their entire life to the family and the family of the whole life have also devoted their entire life. The great tradition is a strong axis. “
Appreciating the actions of Mohan Bhagwat during the anti -emergency agitation, the Prime Minister wrote, “Bhagwat took over the responsibility of the campaigner when the then Congress government imposed an emergency on the country. During that time, Bhagwat ji as a pracharak continuously strengthened the anti -emergency movement. He worked for many years in the rural and backward areas of Maharashtra, especially in Vidarbha.”
The blog post states, “Many volunteers still remember the actions of Mohan Bhagwat ji. The work he did as an All India Physical Head in the 1990s is commendable. During this time, Mohan Bhagwat ji spent the valuable years of his life in the villages of Bihar and devoted to the work of empowering the society. He became Sarsanghchalak in 2009 and is still working with full energy in 2009.
Prime Minister Modi said that Bhagwat has done justice to the role of RSS chief and carried forward a tradition by “visionary personalities”.
He wrote, “Being a Sarsanghchalak is not just an organizational obligation. It is a sacred obligation, which has been carried forward by the visionary personalities and has given direction to the moral and cultural path of this nation. Extraordinary persons have played this role with personal sacrifice, clarity of purpose and unwavering dedication to Maa Bharati. Its personal power, intellectual depth and compassionate leadership ability is also pair. “
The Prime Minister described Bhagwat’s tenure as a period of maximum change in the Sangh, including the decision to change the uniform and the Sangh education class.
He wrote, “The desire to adopt the best work system and openness towards the changing times has been a great feature of Mohanji. In a broader perspective, Bhagwat ji’s tenure in the 100 -year journey of the Sangh will be considered as the most change in the Sangh. Whether there is a change in the uniform, the union education class, many such important changes have taken place under his guidance.”
Prime Minister Modi recalled the RSS works during the Kovid-19 lockdown and appreciated Bhagwat for guidance to the volunteers.
The blog post reads, “In the Korona period, Mohan Bhagwat ji’s efforts are specially remembered. In that difficult time, he gave the direction to do social service while remaining safe and insisted on increasing the use of technology. Under his guidance, the volunteers provided all possible help to the needy and put up medical camps in place. Had to lose too, but Bhagwat ji’s inspiration was such that the strong will of other volunteers did not weaken. “
